Enterprise Development Support
At SPVLG Foundation, we recognize that artisans are the backbone of Kashmir’s rich
cultural heritage. Under Project FANKAAR, we go beyond skill enhancement and provide enterprise development support, ensuring artisans become independent entrepreneurs with access to sustainable livelihoods.
Key Support Areas
1. Business Training and Financial Literacy Conducting workshops on financial management, pricing strategies, and cost-effective production. Educating artisans on banking, credit access, and digital transactions for business sustainability.
2. Market Access and Branding Assistance: Helping artisans develop brand identity and packaging solutions for a professional market presence. Facilitating participation in local and national craft fairs, exhibitions, and online marketplaces. Establishing collaborations with retailers, designers, and corporate buyers to expand market reach for the artisans
3. Digital and E-Commerce Integration: Training and handholding artisans to sell their products on e-commerce platforms and social media. Providing assistance in setting up online stores and handling digital marketing. Implementing digital storytelling to highlight the uniqueness of each artisan’s craft.
4. Access to Finance & Microcredit Support: Linking artisans with microfinance institutions, banks, and government schemes for working capital. Helping artisans secure funding through grants, low-interest loans, and cooperative models.
5. Sustainable & Ethical Business Practices: Encouraging eco-friendly production methods and responsible sourcing of materials. Ensuring fair wages and ethical trade practices to create a sustainable artisan ecosystem.
6. Impact & Vision: Through Enterprise Development Support Project FANKAAR is enabling artisans to move beyond dependency and establish themselves as
independent business owners. By integrating traditional craftsmanship with modern
entrepreneurship, we are ensuring that the artisan community thrives in an evolving
marketplace.
