Project FANKAAR (Financial assistance for Nurturing Kashmiri Art and Artisan for Resonance) Project Fankaar, funded by SIDBI under Mission Swavalamban, is a transformative initiative aimed at revitalizing the rich heritage of Kashmiri artisans by equipping them with modern skills, market access, and Credi support.
Objectives of Project Fankaar

Skill Enhancement and  Training: Conducting workshops on advanced techniques, design innovation, and product diversification to enhance artisans’ craftsmanship.
Market Linkages & E-commerce Integration: Connecting artisans with national and international markets through digital platforms and direct trade opportunities.

Financial & Business Support: Providing microfinance access, financial literacy training, and entrepreneurial guidance to help artisans scale their businesses.
Sustainable & Ethical Crafting Practices: Promoting eco-friendly production methods and ensuring fair trade standards.
Women Empowerment: Encouraging women artisans an entrepreneurs to participate actively in the craft industry through mentorship for enterprise development
Impact & Outreach Supporting 1600 artisans across Budgam and Pulwama with skill building and market expansion. Facilitating direct buyer connections to eliminate intermediaries and ensure better profits. Enabling artisans to adapt to contemporary trends while preserving traditional art forms.
